Meeting Health Minister of Gujarat

An Experienced Surgeon and Academician

Over 30 years, she has performed more than 500 cochlear implant surgeries and carried out over 10,000 endoscopic procedures — treating thousands of patients across a wide range of ENT conditions and building one of the most extensive surgical track records in the field. She has also guided over 50 ENT surgeons in mastering cochlear implant procedures, passing on skills that continue to shape patient care across the region.

Her career has also been marked by a deep commitment to accessible healthcare. Through the Audiology college she established, and later through developing Gujarat's Tele-Rehabilitation Hub, she has helped make post-implant rehabilitation possible for over 1,500 cochlear implant recipients, supporting their journeys toward better hearing and speech, one patient at a time.

Alongside her clinical practice, she has also shaped the field through education — mentoring over 100 postgraduate students, establishing Gujarat's first government Audiology and Speech Language Pathology program, and leading more than 50 workshops and conferences to share knowledge and advance the profession.
